We stayed in this charming hotel twice, on our cycling trips from London to Italy and back. The location is absolutely stunning, with the hotel situated right on the shores of one of the deepest mountain lakes in Switzerland, offering breathtaking views of the Alps. The room was clean and had a view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The breakfast was delicious and the service was exceptional. The hotel also had secure bike storage, which was a plus for us.
The breakfast seating was a bit odd, as we had to walk the length of the house to get another slice of bread.

Quaint, historic house right by the lake, with a charming terrace and garden. The restaurant served delicious food. The free WiFi was a nice touch.
Just loved having to share a toilet on a different floor. So convenient and not at all annoying.

The property grounds were stunning with beautiful gardens and a serene atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome during our entire stay. The hotel's location was perfect, situated near a peaceful lake with a small beach for swimming. It provided a relaxing and refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. the hotel's rooms were clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The rooms did not have air conditioning, which could be uncomfortable during hot summer nights. However, we found that sleeping with the windows open provided a pleasant breeze and helped keep the room cool.

I recently stayed at the Flyhof for three nights while cycling from Italy to the UK. The hotel offers breathtaking views of the lake and has a traditional interior that adds to its charm. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the large, clean shower in my room and the triple socket extension plug. The shared toilet on the first floor was surprisingly private and always clean. a wonderful stay.
I do recommend this hotel.

Title: Delightful lakefront hotel with quirky bathrooms. Text: A charming, historic hotel with a lovely shaded terrace and direct access to the lake. The restaurant served delicious food, but beware of the inconveniently located toilets. Hearing other guests on the stairs was a precious reminder of my wild hostel days!

The rooms at Flyhof in Weesen are absolutely charming. The antique furniture creates a romantic atmosphere that made me feel like I was stepping back in time. With free WiFi, a TV, and a hairdryer, this room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
Personally, I found the shared toilets a bit inconvenient. But I understand that others may still appreciate the unique charm they bring.

I loved the beautiful view of the lake from my room's window and the fact that I had a large and clean shower in my room. The triple socket extension plug was really convenient for charging multiple devices. The almost quiet room facing the lake was peaceful, except for the occasional sound of goat bells. The shared toilet on the first floor was clean and provided all the necessary amenities. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they even arranged an extra bed for me upon my request. I also enjoyed being able to self-serve tea on the first floor. The medieval interior in the public areas added a unique charm to the hotel.
Felt cosy, no complaints.

The hotel's decoration was absolutely charming and had a cozy, traditional feel. It reminded me of a beautiful Swiss cottage with its rustic wooden furniture and warm colors. The general areas were well-maintained and had lovely views of the lake. The hotel was also very accessible for senior people, with easy access to the rooms and common areas. I felt comfortable and safe moving around the hotel, which is especially important for seniors like me.
I would have preferred more attentive staff, especially the children working there.
